FRANCOIS DILLINGER glides between the two worlds of electro and techno. His journey through the genres is dark while retaining a mercilessly intelligent, dancefloor-oriented quality. His Live & DJ sets lean heavily into the generation of hypnotic loops, creating long protracted mixes between elements of unshakeable tension. As a former promoter, long-time performer, and supporter of the scene – he’s been a part of the Detroit underground for over 20 years. Over the last few years, DILLINGER has released four albums across Diffuse Reality, Specimen Records, International Chrome and EC Underground. He was featured on several compilations, most notably on Planet E’s Detroit Love series, while over 30 artists remixed his tracks including the likes of Keith ‘K1’ Tucker, Detroit’s Filthiest, Jensen Interceptor, Luxus Varta and others. DILLINGER also hosts MINDFRAME, a monthly residency on Detroit’s Deep Space Radio that features guest performances from across the global electro scene. Support for his music continues from the likes of Dave Clarke and Richie Hawtin; with his LP under the alias ‘The Thousand Order’ was named as Best New Electronic Music by Bandcamp in 2022. FRANCOIS also continues his work with Detroit-based art collaboratives Missing Faces and 313[030] projekt, creating immersive A/V installations with shows planned across Detroit, Berlin and beyond.

In this mind-bending release, DILLINGER delves into the very consciousness of computers from a forgotten era of technology. The journey begins with "Plato IV", a provocative track that beckons the listener to plug in and enter the program. But beware, for the next step leads you down a dark and treacherous path.

In "CYBIS", DILLINGER unleashes a nightmare of minimalistic code and forgotten disk space, threatening to rip the user into bits through the brutal defragmentation process. Brace yourself for a descent into madness, as all connection to reality is lost and your identity is submerged in the cold embrace of circuitry.

But the madness doesn't end there. In "RankTrek", the programs will take hold, and you are forced to give in completely to their demands. Your mind becomes one with the machine, as you surrender all control and are dragged deeper into the abyss.

Finally, in "Votrax", your assimilation is complete. You have become one with the machine, your identity lost forever in the cold, metallic embrace of technology. Prepare to journey beyond the bounds of human consciousness, for once you enter the world of Votrax, you may never return again...
